Robert Fock writes about this tea set in his beautiful book "Maastrichtse serviezen 1917-1937: "The shape of the Turk tableware is the most traditional of the Société Céramique tablewares from this period. The only distinguishing element is the lid knob consisting of two round wings. But the decoration with toothed brown and orange areas along the top edge is very modern. Turk remained in production for a very long time, at least until after the war, and just like Twente (another tableware from the Société Céramique) with many different decorations.” The brown/orange decoration is called York.
